Sponsored by the API, the biennial event has provided a respected forum for more than 50 years for all players in this major industry segment to share experiences, compare notes and examine the latest in operations and technology. The full day and a half program includes a comprehensive series of panels, discussions and networking opportunities tailored to the world of tankers – a critical link in the oil and natural gas industry’s ability to meet the United States’ energy needs. International Oil Spill Conference
Co-sponsored by the API, IMO, IPIECA, NOAA, USCG, US EPA, and US MMS, the International Oil Spill Conference is held every three years and is designed to enhance regional and global knowledge-sharing capability and provide greater resources for addressing global oil spill issues facing the industry. Each conference provides venues for experts from around the world in spill prevention, preparedness, response, and restoration to share information. The conferences also will continue to provide a unique opportunity for members of industry, government and the service sector to catch up on all major developments in the field and interact with the most knowledgeable people tied to those activities. The next IOSC will be held May 22-27, 2011 in Portland. Oregon.
