The deadline for pre-registration is September 26, 2008. After this date, you may still register for the meeting on-site.

Advance Your Standards
Your participation keeps API standards going strong, and we would like you to share your standards expertise with the next generation. API invites you to sponsor first-time attendees from your company complimentary at all API 2007 standards meetings.
Complimentary registration is limited to first-time attendees, who must be sponsored and accompanied by a prior API standards meeting participant from the same company. Pre-registration is required. Registration for sponsored attendees will not be accepted on-site. All hotel and travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant/attendee.
Sponsorship/Exhibitor Application and Agreements
Sponsoring or exhibiting at the COPM Standards Meeting is a targeted, cost-effective avenue for connecting with customers that you might not reach otherwise. The deadline for returning Sponsorship/Exhibitor Applications and Agreements is September 15, 2008. Sponsorship items requiring artwork should be returned by September 1, 2008.

Hotel Information
Reservations may be made directly with the Hilton Long Beach by calling at 562-983-3400 or 800-445-8667 no later than 5:00 pm, local time at the hotel, September 29, 2008. Please mention the American Petroleum Institute (API) to receive the group rate of $169 single or double occupancy, plus applicable state and local taxes. After September 29, 2008, hotel reservations will only be accepted on a space available basis at the group rate for a limited time. The rate applies three days prior to and after the dates of the meeting based on availability.

Spouse/Guest Program
Breakfasts will be provided Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings. In addition to breakfasts, other activities are being planned as follows:
Monday - Overnight Trip to Idyllwild, CA: Spouses and guests will have breakfast and work on their scrapbooks in the morning. They will be working with the pictures from their spring activities in Dallas. Those who were not in Dallas, or who are new participants, will have all the tools to create greeting cards. New participants will also be given a scrapbook to begin. After scrapbooking, spouses and guests will leave for Idyllwild for a day of shopping and a night in the mountains. Idyllwild is a small rustic town about two hours from Long Beach. There is no extra charge for their sleeping accommodations in Idyllwild. They will be provided breakfast, but will be responsible for lunch and dinner while in Idyllwild.
Tuesday – Return from Idyllwild: After breakfast on Tuesday, spouses and guests will return to Long Beach arriving there around 2:00 pm.
Tuesday – Aquarium Tour: Breakfast coupons will be provided for those spouses and guests who do not wish to participate in the overnight trip to Idyllwild. Coupons for Tuesday only will be distributed during breakfast on Monday morning. In addition, a tour (to include behind the scenes) of the Long Beach Aquarium will be arranged for these persons. They will be on their own for lunch.
Wednesday - Laguna Beach, CA: After breakfast, spouses and guests will leave for a day of shopping and fun in the artistic town of Laguna Beach which is about 45 minutes south of Long Beach. They will be on their own for lunch, returning to Long Beach around 4:30 pm.
