API Storage Tank Conference and Safe Tank Entry Workshop

October 6-9, 2008 Sheraton Fort Worth Fort Worth, Texas Co-Sponsored by the Steel Tank Institute and NFPA

API’s annual Storage Tank Conference, preceded by a two-day Safe Tank Entry Workshop are educational programs that focus on the latest management practices for aboveground storage tanks. They also give you plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues and establish new business connections.
API Safe Tank Entry Workshop (October 6-7)
Attendees learn the basics of ensuring safe tank entry and maintenance. Topics cover tank decommissioning, isolation, degassing, safe tank entry, cleaning, return to service, and associated work. This hands-on program also provides an understanding of atmospheric monitoring, with instruction in the operation, calibration, and maintenance of field instruments that sample and analyze levels of oxygen, gases, and vapors. Attendees have the chance to calibrate and use the instruments.
API Storage Tank Conference (October 8-9)
This informative conference features multiple panels that will help you understand the requirements to maintaining tank integrity while complying with environmental rules. The annual API Storage Tank Conference provides attendees with new information on tank-related research, latest technologies, and API petroleum standards. For 2008 we are pleased to present Mark Howard of the US EPA to discuss the upcoming SPCC deadline. Other topics include current issues for ethanol tanks, hurricane preparedness, and a Safe Tank Alliance update.
