API Petroleum Drawback/FT/Import Seminar

API's 23rd Annual Petroleum Drawback/FT/Import Seminar will be held at the Charleston Place Hotel, in Charleston, SC. The program is designed to provide attendees with up-to-date information on what is happening with customers, border protection, and international trade in the areas of duty drawback, imports, exports, and free trade zones.

Program
The program includes a broad range of topics that will be presented by experts in the field of petroleum operations and customs laws and regulations.  As we did last year, in addition to our customary reception on Monday evening, there will also be a welcoming reception on Sunday evening. These events give you an opportunity to meet informally with colleagues and other professionals from the private sector and government.

Registration
You may register and pay by credit card by clicking here for the online registration page.  Registration and payment may also be made with a credit card by completing the attached registration form and faxing it to 202/682-8049.  You may also register by completing the enclosed registration form and sending it with your check, payable to the American Petroleum Institute, to the address shown thereon.   If you are paying by check, please allow at least two weeks for your check to reach our office through the banking process.

Registered spouses/guests are invited to attend the luncheons and the reception on Monday.

Hotel
The Charleston Place Hotel will serve as the host hotel for the conference and is located at 205 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC.  The hotel is pleased to offer a special rate of $259.00 per night plus applicable sales tax for all API seminar attendees.  Reservations can be made directly with the hotel by calling 800-831-3490.  Reservations must be made by February 22, 2008 in order to secure space.  Reservations received after that date will be accepted on a space available basis. 

Continuing Education
Registered participants may qualify for continuing education credit to satisfy certain states’ Board of Public Accountancy requirements.  Interested persons may obtain the required attendance forms at the registration desk at the seminar.

Attire
Business casual attire is appropriate for the seminar and all related functions.
